Companion Care
Presence, conversation, and the small rituals that make a house feel lived-in.

Companion Care is about the everyday — a warm greeting in the morning, someone to share a cup of tea with, a steady hand for a walk around the block. Our companions are trained to notice the small shifts that matter and to bring genuine warmth into every visit.
What a visit looks like
Every visit begins with a check-in — how are you feeling today, what would you like to do together? From there, our companions help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, grocery runs, and errands. Many of our clients look forward to the shared activities most: puzzles, gardening, letter writing, or an afternoon film.
Why it matters
Loneliness has measurable effects on health — sleep, appetite, memory, and mood all suffer without regular human connection. Studies from the Public Health Agency of Canada link social isolation to higher rates of heart disease, dementia, and depression among older adults. Companion Care is a gentle, dignified way to keep those risks at bay.
Who it's for
Adults who live alone, spouses of a partner receiving intensive care who need respite, and families who live far away and want a trusted, familiar face checking in. We match companions carefully — background, temperament, and shared interests all matter.

Real stories from real households.
"Sarah has been visiting my mother three afternoons a week for almost a year. Mum lights up when she hears the door. It's more than help — it's friendship."
"I live in Vancouver and my dad is in Winnipeg. Knowing someone kind is with him every day has given me back my sleep."
"The consistency is what changed everything. Same caregiver, same days. Dad remembers her name — and that's a small miracle."
