Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and services offered by Gathercare Healthcare Services Inc. ("Gathercare"). By using our website or requesting care, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Gathercare provides non-medical home care, companionship, dementia support, and post-surgical care through a network of screened caregivers across Canada. Skilled nursing services, where offered, are delivered by licensed professionals in accordance with provincial regulation.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to request services or apply to join Gathercare as a caregiver.

3. Fees and payment

Care rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and depend on province, care level, and schedule. Invoices are issued weekly or monthly and are payable within 14 days. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be billed at the full scheduled rate.

4. Caregiver relationship

Caregivers introduced through Gathercare remain matched through our platform. Directly hiring a Gathercare caregiver outside the platform during or within 12 months of a placement is not permitted and may result in a placement fee.

5. Medical disclaimer

Gathercare does not provide emergency medical services. In a medical emergency, call 911. Our advisors do not provide medical advice; questions about diagnosis or treatment should be directed to a qualified physician.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Gathercare's liability for any claim arising out of our services is limited to the fees paid by you in the six months preceding the claim.

7. Website use

You agree not to misuse this website, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or submit false information through any of our forms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
